Audinate Unveils Dante Domain Manager v1.4 with Full Dante Video Support
Audinate, the Australian developer of the Dante AV-over-IP solution, has announced the immediate availability of Dante Domain Manager v1.4. It supports Dante-enabled video products such as PTZ cameras, HDMI encoders and decoders, and the Dante Studio suite of video tools.
With Dante Domain Manager, AV-over-IP systems gain IT-level monitoring, security and control, the company says. Dante Domain Manager secures Dante networks by enforcing user authentication and roles to ensure only trusted people can make changes to the system. It provides organizational tools that allow Dante devices to be divided into functionally independent groups (domains) that correspond to rooms, spaces, buildings, etc. Thus, it is possible to perform easier routing and better security.
Dante Domain Manager coordinates synchronization across the entire network, allowing routing of audio and video across IP subnet boundaries for large systems that need to span large buildings, multiple studios, or campus. Dante Domain Manager’s Dashboard and Alerts provide instant status reports on all issues. Of course, these capabilities extend to any location in the network.
“Dante Domain Manager has been a key part of modern, scalable AV over IP installations, and truly sets Dante apart from other AV technologies,” said Laurence Crew, senior product manager at Audinate. “The inclusion of Dante Video products means that Dante Domain Manager can encompass complete systems with any combination of audio and video devices, giving AV and IT managers the information they need, exactly when they need it. .”
Dante Domain Manager v1.4 is a free update for existing Dante Domain Manager users who have active support contracts.
